The Reason

Preston initially came to our office because he was unhappy with his smile. Specifically, he didn’t like his gold crowns, missing teeth, and he wanted to whiten his smile. Additionally from further conversation, Preston shared with us that he was unhappy with the size of his teeth.

This case was unique for several reasons.

This case was unique because we completely re-designed the shape of Preston’s teeth and his bite. Due to his previous clenching/grinding and poor oral habits, his teeth were severely broken down and he had limited enamel remaining on the top of his teeth. These issues had made Preston’s teeth small. In order to give Preston his smile back, we needed to lengthen his teeth to their rightful size and restore his bite to its proper position. Because we were additive and lengthened his teeth, we were able to be less invasive in preparing his teeth for crowns/veneers. If we didn’t follow this technique, the procedure would’ve required much more drilling/invasive technique and resulted in small, unnatural teeth.”
