Per Dr. Nathan Desai
This case was unique for several reasons: Chelsi had limited access to oral care and she was pre-disposed to dental caries from a young age. Due to these issues, she ultimately had a failing dentition and her teeth removed which led her to wearing upper and lower dentures. Chelsi had a consultation with her old dentist about “snap in” dentures aided by dental implants. After a conversation with her, we determined a fixed option – upper and lower zirconia hybrids – would be her best option to provide a confident smile and confidence eating all types of food. With a team approach, we were able to get rid of Chelsi’s dentures and give her fixed teeth on the day of surgery. She now can smile and eat like she never lost her teeth!
